This is my forth time buying this item not for any defects in the quality of the manufacturer but more to do with the abuse I put this peirce of clothing through .From carrying sharp/ pointy heavy things in the pockets to wearing it what feels like 24/7 in an agricultural environment.I have been more than happy with this item and its made in UK 🇬🇧 so the size is as stated unlike some other items from further afield.Full marks to N A

Die Weste entsprach komplett meinen Vorstellungen. Durch die gefütterte Steppung ist sie schön warm und gut nur mit einem Hemd zu tragen. Die gewachste Außenseite war nur am Anfang unangenehm anzufühlen, an das man sich nach mehrmaligen Tragen gewöhnt hat. Die Weste ist sehr strapazierfähig u. erfüllt seinen Zweck. Bin auf jeden Fall froh, daß ich mich für den Kauf entschieden habe. Sollte es aus dieser Reihe noch eine Jacke geben, würde ich die auch sofort kaufen.

I bought this as I was looking for a gilet that would be suitable for walking but wouldn't be too hot in the summer. Originally I bought a size medium as a best guess given the variation in size in a lot of clothing at the moment; but this turned out to be an error, as the items do come up true to size. The sellers were very helpful with an exchange and I now have a good-fitting gilet.A few points before I get on to the positives: first, I am by no means small (about 5 11, 13 and a half stone) so if you are smaller than this there really isn't a suitable size for you if you are interested in this item, unless you want it to balloon around the groin area. Also, that stock picture: it's obviously a picture with the gilet prepared for packaging. Laid out properly it is wider below the armpit than at the top. It shouldn't be hard to provide more representative illustrations. Finally, the listing states: "100% waterproof with removable hood for any type of weather!" I don't see a hood, no hood is provided, nor is there any obvious means of attaching one.Anyway, with all this out of the way, the gilet is of excellent construction with a good wax finish. All the finishing appears to be good and in the right size fits snugly. There are good pocket options, and the Union Flag lapel badge is a nice extra touch, although probably best to replace it with a Canadian one for overseas travel. The zip is chunky and there are useful storm flaps for the front fastening and the large front pockets. There is a deep inside pocket. In brown, this goes very well with jeans and boots. All the signs are that this item will have a long life and be much used. The quality for the price is very good indeed. I just wish that more accurate information could be provided to potential buyers.
